Meet our Portfolio – Autotalks
At the #SamsungCEOSummit in San Francisco, guests enjoyed thought-provoking technology demos from some of Samsung’s portfolio companies as well as researchers from academia. The demos helped bring to life the theme of this year’s CEO Summit: how AI is helping shape our future.
Autotalks demonstrated its V2X chipsets, which allow secure communications between cars and other cars, trucks, motorcycles, and the infrastructure. By enabling cars to talk to one another, Autotalks helps cars—including, in the future, autonomous cars—avoid accidents and use the roads more efficiently, especially when there’s no line of site between vehicles.
More about the company:
The CEO: For over 20 years, Hagai Zyss has been driving cutting-edge technologies from definition to profitable business. Before Autotalks, Hagai served as VP R&D at EZchip and VP of Products Business Line at Ceragon Networks, where he was responsible for the bottom-line success of a complete mobile backhaul business product line, with annual revenues of $350M.
Who they are: Autotalks, a fabless semiconductor company, is a V2X chipset market pioneer and leader, providing customers with state-of-the-art global V2X solutions. Autotalks helps reduce collisions on roadways and improve mobility everywhere with its automotive qualified chipsets.
What they do: The chipsets Autotalks designs offer the most advanced, truly secure and highest performing global V2X communication solution designed for autonomous vehicles. Autotalks’ advanced technology, to be mass deployed in the coming years, complements information coming from other sensors, specifically in non-line-of-sight scenarios, rough weather or poor lighting conditions. It significantly improves overall road safety, effectively coordinating vehicles, self-driving cars, motorcyclists and pedestrians.
